Program Objectives

The 2025 CAMC Critical Care Conference will feature lectures, case presentations and educational sessions on various acute and critical care issues facing health care professionals today. This one-day conference will focus on current trends in the understanding of the pathophysiology to improve the treatment of shock, trauma and sepsis. The program is designed for physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists and allied health professionals involved in critical care medicine.

The program is limited to 120 participants. No prerequisites are required.  

At the conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:  

  • Develop and refine best practices for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of shock and related conditions.  
  • Identify key treatment priorities to improve patient outcomes.  
  • Promote the use of evidence-based medicine in shock management.

CAMC Institute for Academic Medicine is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This offering has been approved for 6.5 contact hours  (JA0026-26-25-738).

The CAMC Health Education and Research Institute is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. To receive credit, participants must complete the sign-in sheet, attend each session and complete an evaluation. ACPE credits will be posted online to the CPE Monitor within six (6) weeks following the activity. This knowledge-based activity provides 6.5 contact hours JA0006133-0000-25-016-L01-P.

The West Virginia Board of Respiratory Care (WVBORC) has approved this program for 7.2 contact hours. Provider # 22-24-014.

The CAMC Institute for Academic Medicine controls the content and production of this CE activity and attempts to ensure the presentation of balanced, objective information. In accordance with the Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education established by the ACCME, faculty, abstract reviewers, paper presenters/authors, planning committee members, staff and any others involved in planning the educational content must disclose any relationship they or their co-authors have with ineligible companies which may be related to their content. Limited parking is available at the CAMC Center for Learning and Research. Participants may also park at the Aladdin Restaurant parking lot, the former CHERI building lot and the CAMC Cancer Center parking lot. There is no charge for parking. 

Every effort is made to have a comfortable temperature in the meeting room. However, we realize everyone’s comfort zone differs, so please bring a sweater or light jacket.
