CAMC Research Day features oral and poster presentations by fellows, residents, medical students, student pharmacists and other health care students. The presentations highlight their collaborative research efforts with faculty, medical staff and professional staff preceptors.

Research Day Awards will be presented at the conclusion of the program to recognize outstanding presenters of these research projects in each of the four categories (oral original, oral case, poster original and poster case).

Eligible attendees may earn continuing education credits. The CAMC Institute for Academic Medicine and the CAMC Foundation co-sponsor this scholarly activity.

Objectives:

Upon completion of this program, attendees should be able to:

  1. Describe ongoing original research in the CAMC, WVU/Charleston and WV School of Osteopathic Medicine medical community.
  2. Discuss case reports and their role in clinical practice.
  3. Encourage principal investigators/preceptors, residents, fellows, and students in their pursuits around excellence in clinical research.
  4. Express options for integrating new knowledge gained from research presentations into the clinical practice.

 

CE credit:

Continuing education credits are available for eligible physicians, nurses, pharmacists, psychologists and medical imaging professionals.

 

Awards:

Prizes will be awarded to those presenting resident/student research at the closing ceremony following the program. You must be present at the closing ceremony to accept the award.

Research Day awards may be adjusted at the discretion of the Research Review Committee.

Certificates will be awarded to participating presenters. Presentation recordings, program copies, award selections and photos may be available on the CAMC or CAMC Institute for Academic Medicine website and social media.
