Why CAMC: From my earliest interactions with CAMC, I felt encouraged, welcomed and comfortable being myself. The residents are as close as family, and the faculty is extremely invested in helping each trainee grow. That supportive culture is paired with exposure to some of the region’s most complex vascular disease and a strong breadth of open and endovascular procedures. Residents become involved early in patient care and the operating room, earning greater autonomy as their skills and judgment develop. By their senior years, they are trusted to lead operations with faculty guidance. But what drew me most to CAMC was their network and ability to help rural Appalachian communities, which connects with my interest in improving follow-up and monitoring for patients who live far from specialty care. CAMC offered what I valued most: rigorous training, progressive independence, meaningful work and a team that is family.
Hobbies: Building complex LEGO sets, painting, following Formula 1 and all things basketball, playing golf, collecting Jordans, exploring new music and playing video games.
About Me: I graduated from the Medical College of Georgia, where I was first exposed to vascular surgery and developed both my fascination with cardiovascular care and my interest in improving access for underserved populations. Outside the hospital, I am spontaneous, competitive and usually the person trying to make everyone laugh. My ideal day off starts with an F1 Grand Prix or exploring new music, includes playing basketball or a round of golf with friends in the afternoon, and ends with a fun dinner at an Italian or Thai restaurant followed by a competitive game night. Valley Forge and the Philadelphia Museum of Art remain two of my favorite places to revisit and learn more about history and painting. In West Virginia, I am looking forward to hiking the Long Point trails, rafting the New and Gauley Rivers and kayaking at Summersville Lake.
