Biography

Anand Chockalingam, MD, has been a professor of cardiology and director of the cardiometabolic program at the CAMC Institute for Academic Medicine since 2023. With over 70 original publications, his research at the University of Missouri focused on premature heart failure caused by mental and metabolic stress. He collaborates with mindfulness experts, behavioral psychologists, integrative medicine practitioners and exercise and nutrition scientists to improve heart failure outcomes. He has pioneered ‘Heartful Living’ Advanced Cardiac Energetics (ACE), a novel self-inquiry mindfulness empowerment program for virtual cardiometabolic care. Dr. Chockalingam collaborates with the American College of Cardiology and several medical associations to build physician resilience. ACE reverses Biological HeartAge and premature heart failure by addressing NASH/NAFLD, diabetes, hypertension and inflammation. ACE provides actionable biofeedback based on biological and psychological signals that patients learn to track through weekly touchpoints with the virtual ACE team. He is the director of the diastolic heart failure clinic and cardiac rehabilitation, where his team is developing scalable, integrative programs for heart failure and CKD metabolic syndrome care globally.
