Hometown: Seth, WV
College: University of Charleston
Fun Fact: I collect Blenko glassware! Blenko is known for its vibrant glassware and is hand-blown here in Milton, WV.
Hobbies: Traveling, pickleball, cooking, fitness and spending time with my family and friends.
Why CAMC: Growing up close to the area allows me the unique opportunity to treat patients from my home community and serve the people of Appalachia. I am passionate about where I come from, and having the ability to take care of the community that I grew up in is quite special. As a Rural Scholar, I had the opportunity to gain in-depth exposure to
the program. The attentiveness, compassion, grace and communication between residents and faculty was something that I know I wanted to be a part of.
Why Family Medicine: Something that I enjoy about family medicine is seeing how passionate providers are towards their patients and utilizing the community to better serve and understand their patients. The deep interpersonal relationships and connections you make between patients and their families is what drew me to this field of medicine.
Future Plans: Hospitalist or academic medicine.
