Biography
Carolyn Sharpe Neff, MD, is a board-certified neurologist with a strong clinical background. Dr. Neff earned her Doctor of Medicine from West Virginia University School of Medicine in 1996 and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 1988. Her post-graduate training includes a fellowship in spasticity and movement disorders at Allegheny General Hospital and a neurology and internal medicine residency at West Virginia University. Dr. Neff has held clinical positions at Charleston Area Medical Center and Southern California Permanente Medical Group in Anaheim and Bellflower, CA.
Dr. Neff's expertise includes general neurology, with a focus on movement disorders and stroke care. She has been actively involved in improving health care delivery, including the implementation of evidence-based therapy programs for Parkinson's Disease and leading stroke center certifications. Dr. Neff also served as a commander in the U.S. Naval Reserve, where she provided health care services and humanitarian assistance.
