Biography
Hometown: Melbourne, Australia
Fun Fact: I climbed to the top of La Soufriere volcano on the island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. It had been dormant for almost 40 years; however, one year after climbing it, the volcano erupted.
Hobbies: I enjoy playing cricket, table tennis and swimming in the pool. Poker with the boys is always a fun time with good banter. I always make time for the gym and have started following the NBA. I do enjoy practicing a few golf swings at the driving range. Since I arrived in West Virginia, I've been to a Charleston Dirty Birds baseball game and gone axe throwing, and I can see myself doing that again a few times.
Why CAMC: CAMC is an amazing academic institution with many resources that residents are encouraged to utilize to the fullest. The Family Medicine Program at CAMC provides a warm work environment, and the staff are invested in nurturing the residents, pushing them to do their best. There are ample opportunities for residents to provide comprehensive care for a diverse patient population in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Residents are also given the opportunity to participate in many procedures during their rotations in the inpatient and outpatient settings. The freedom to craft your style of care during residency is available. Most importantly, the program puts the 'Family’ in 'Family Medicine,' and the residents and staff are probably one of the happiest groups of people in the whole hospital. We always look out for each other during the good times and the bad, and we always push each other to be the best we can be. Really, what more do you need?
