Biography
Hometown: Scarborough, Canada
Fun Fact: I completed my kindergarten education in Malaysia.
Hobbies: I enjoy music and spend my free time singing and playing instruments like the piano and drums. Whether it’s Western or Indian classical rhythms, music has always been a creative outlet and a way to connect with others.
Why CAMC: I chose CAMC for my residency because of the supportive and welcoming environment I experienced during the application process. The faculty and residents came across as approachable, genuine and invested in being mentors throughout my journey. I was also drawn to the program’s strong inpatient training, which I found unique in family medicine and an excellent foundation for future opportunities.
Why Family Medicine: I chose family medicine because it reflects my values and experiences working in diverse, underserved communities. These experiences taught me how to connect with patients from different backgrounds and adapt my communication to make health care more accessible. I believe empowering patients through education and preventive care is the best way to improve both individual and community health.
