Biography

Hometown: Oakville, Ontario
Fun Fact: I drove the entire length of the island of Dominica on a motorcycle during my first year of medical school.
Hobbies: Cooking, baking, skiing, mountain biking and singing karaoke.
Why CAMC: When applying to the Family Medicine program at CAMC, I spoke to the faculty and the residents and immediately felt a sense of connection and community within the program. This was only confirmed when I joined CAMC and saw how much everyone supports each other. I was also drawn to the beautiful scenery. Living in the Kanawha River Valley and experiencing the amazing hiking and outdoors of the Appalachians has been a highlight of my time here.
Why Family Medicine: Family Medicine affords the unique opportunity to get to know your patients on many levels. It is also an amazing privilege to take care of their families and be an essential part of the local community. My grandmother was a family doctor, and the stories she told me and the place she held in our community made me want to follow in her footsteps.
