The CAMC Institute for Academic Medicine is pleased to announce the appointment of Rachael Trout, EdD, as its administrative director for faculty affairs.
In this newly established role, Dr. Trout will work closely with the Institute's chief academic officer to support faculty across all academic departments. Her responsibilities will center on strengthening the appointment and promotion program, enhancing faculty development and leading faculty recruitment and onboarding efforts.
As Vandalia Health Charleston Area Medical Center continues to grow as an academic medical center, this role represents a key component of the Institute's strategic plan and mission.
Dr. Trout brings a wealth of experience to academic medicine. She holds a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts and Doctor of Education from Marshall University.
She has played a significant role in CAMC's educational mission, first serving as the administrator for student services and later as the administrator for the Department of Medicine at the WVU Health Sciences Charleston Campus. Additionally, she held the position of academic administrative director for CAMC Internal Medicine.
