Program Objectives
The CAMC Nursing Professional Development and Innovation Conference will feature lectures, case presentations and educational sessions on a variety of acute care issues facing nursing professionals today. This one-day conference will focus on future professional nursing trends, current legal issues in nursing and legislative updates. Posters from the health system will be presented on current research, quality improvement and education. The program is designed for all professional nurses working in all areas of health care.
At the conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Discuss current nursing issues, locally, nationally and internationally.
- Examine communication techniques in the nursing arena.
- Provide an overview of current legal and legislative issues in nursing.
- Examine current policies regarding immunizations and outcomes.
- Provide an overview of ICU liberation, focusing on the treatment and prevention of delirium.
- Provide an overview of engaging those with substance use disorder and addiction.
