For Heroes Proved: A Multidisciplinary Approach to the Care of Veterans

In support of patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the CAMC Health Education and Research Institute. CAMC Health Education and Research Institute is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Physicians – The CAMC Health Education and Research Institute’s CME program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians. The CAMC Health Education and Research Institute designates this live activity for a maximum of 2 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Pharmacists – The CAMC Health Education and Research Institute is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. To receive credit, participants must complete the sign-in sheet, attend each session and complete an evaluation. ACPE credits will be posted online to the CPE Monitor within six (6) weeks following the activity. This knowledge based activity provides 2 contact hours (JA00036-0000-19-036-H04-P)

Nurses – The CAMC Health Education and Research Institute is an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This offering has been approved for 2 contact hours JA0026-21-19-140 (Expiration date is 2 years from the course date)

LPC-  The WV Board of Examiners in Counseling has approved  this course  as a on demand webinar for 2 Formal LPC Contact Hours related to the mental health conditions specific to Veterans and family members of Veterans. (WVBEC-061019 Webinar/Formal Hours)

Social Work  - CAMC Health Education and Research Institute is an approved provider of continuing education by the West Virginia Board of Social Work Examiners.  This program has been approved for 2 hours of social work credit.  Approval number #490045.

Psychologists may claim 2 continuing education hours through the West Virginia Board of Examiners in Psychology. Certificate of completion will be provided upon request to the CAMC Institute.
