Program overview
The world-renowned faculty of this conference will present an update on vascular/endovascular topics. This program is designed for general surgeons, vascular surgeons, interventional vascular radiologists, cardiologists, neurologists, internists, family practitioners, nurses and allied health professionals interested in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with vascular disease as well as the management of common vascular disorders. No prerequisites are required. The latest concepts, methodologies and techniques in the surgical and percutaneous management of patients with vascular disease will be explored through presentations and panel discussions.
After completing this course, participants should be able to:
- Review the basics of vascular surgery and the primary care physician and providers.
- Discuss current trends in the treatment of cerebral vascular disease.
- Examine aortic and peripheral vascular disease and surgery trends.
- Review the use of interventional radiology in the treatment of GI bleed.
- Discuss the value of vascular surgeons to hospitals.
- Discuss current treatment with statins and vascular disease.
- Review and discuss adversity and success in vascular surgery.
- Examine the Role of Renal Denervation for Resistant HTN.
- Review and debate current carotid guidelines and the use of carotid stenting in the future.
- Discuss venous ulcer management.
- Review Access Related Hand Ischemia or the Steal Syndrome.
- Review Aortic Aneurysm (Thoracic and Abdominal) and Aortic Dissection.
- Examine Surgery for Popliteal Artery Entrapment Syndromes in Athletes.
A panel discussion on challenging cases will end the session on Sunday. Nationally and internationally known speakers will serve as faculty.
