Bryan K. Richmond, MD, MBA, FACS

Program Chair

Bryan K. Richmond, M.D., M.B.A., F.A.C.S. serves as the The Bert Bradford Professor and Chairman of the Department of Surgery. Dr. Richmond joined the WVU School of Medicine/Charleston Division in 2005. Shortly thereafter he was named Section Chief of the General Surgery Section of the West Virginia University/Charleston Division Department of Surgery and remains so today. He assumed the position of Chair of the Department of Surgery in May of 2020. 

Dr. Richmond also serves as the Chief Medical Officer for WVU Physicians of Charleston’s (WVUPC) clinical operations. In this important role, he oversees all WVUPC clinical operations and is the medical lead representing WVUPC in the COVID-19 crisis and in communications with Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) on this and other topics pertinent to the WVU/Charleston operations. 

In 2018, Dr. Richmond was named the inaugural William J. Maier, Jr. Endowed Chair of Research at the West Virginia University Charleston campus. 

Dr. Richmond is well recognized locally and nationally as is evident from his service as a reviewer for multiple surgical journals, his impressive list of publications and his local and national lectures. 

In his free time, Dr. Richmond enjoys spending time with his wife, Linda, and their two children. He also enjoys rock climbing, bicycling and cooking.

Jade Gallimore, DO, MBA

Program Director

Dr. Gallimore is originally from northeast Tennessee but now calls West Virginia home. She completed her undergraduate education in 2009 from Concord University in Athens, WV with degrees in Biology (Recombinant Gene Technology) and Business (Management). She went on to teach high school for two years before returning to the classroom. She graduated from Lincoln Memorial University - DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2015 with a Masters in Business Administration and a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her general surgery residency training here at CAMC in 2020 and returned to her hometown in Tennessee to practice rural general surgery for just over a year. She realized during that time that her passion was teaching residents, and so she returned to Charleston to join the faculty as a broad-based general surgeon. She is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, and her area of interest includes residency education and advancements. In her free time, Dr. Gallimore enjoys spending time with her husband, John, and their two children, Hazel and Ruby.

Brandon Radow

Brandon Radow, MD

Associate Program Director

Brandon Radow, MD, is from Charleston, WV. After medical school at West Virginia University, he completed general surgery residency at Charleston Area Medical Center. He moved to Las Vegas and completed fellowships in Surgical Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery. After working in Cleveland, Ohio, he returned to CAMC with a desire to teach residents and advance acute care surgery practices in Charleston. Dr. Radow is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. His work-related interests include outcomes research in trauma and resident education. 

West, Ashley

Ashley E. Wiley, C-TAGME

Residency Coordinator, Surgery

Ashley Wiley has been the Residency Coordinator for the General Surgery program since July of 2011. She holds a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Marshall University, and certification as a Training Administrator of Graduate Medical Education (C-TAGME). Ashley finds her work with physician faculty, residents, and others in the CAMC post-graduate medical education family to be very professionally rewarding, and she cannot imagine a more important job than helping new surgeons get the very best start possible toward a successful and satisfying career. Ashley and her husband Scott reside in Red House, WV, and they have a blended family of four children. Ashley enjoys spending time with her family and reading.
