Mission Statement

The mission of the Emergency Medicine Interest Group is to cultivate and nurture a community of passionate individuals dedicated to advancing emergency medicine through education, innovation, networking, advocacy and philanthropy.

We envision a future where every individual has access to timely, compassionate and high-quality emergency care. This vision includes a commitment to fostering a culture of continuous learning, where compassionate educators inspire the next generation of emergency medicine providers to excel in their practice and advocate for the well-being of their patients.

Goals

  • Education and Training: Provide opportunities for members to enhance their understanding of emergency medicine through workshops, simulations, conferences and mentorship programs
  • Networking: Foster connections with local emergency medicine professionals, organizations and institutions to create opportunities for professional growth
  • Advocacy for Emergency Medicine Specialty: Advocate for the recruitment, support and advancement of the specialty of emergency medicine, ensuring that the unique needs and contributions of emergency medicine providers are acknowledged and addressed
  • Research and Innovation: Facilitate research initiatives and projects that contribute to the advancement of emergency medicine knowledge and practice
