
The CAMC Institute for Academic Medicine is pleased to announce the appointment of Jessica Amos, DO, as chair of its department of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Amos has served as interim chair for the past year, leading collaborative initiatives while maintaining high standards in patient care, organization and accountability.
Following a national search, the committee unanimously recommended Dr. Amos based on her academic and operational leadership, achievements and commitment to growth and community service.
Dr. Amos earned her undergraduate degree from Marshall University and her medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed our Internal Medicine Residency at Vandalia Health Charleston Area Medical Center, where she also served as chief resident.
Since joining CAMC’s Internal Medicine faculty, she has held several leadership roles, including associate program director for the residency, division chief and hospital medicine section chief.
The Institute congratulates Dr. Amos on her appointment and looks forward to her continued leadership.
