Program Overview

The 2025 Vandalia Health CAMC Pediatric Conference will feature lectures, case presentations and educational sessions on a variety of acute and critical care issues facing health care professionals today. This one-day conference will focus on current trends in acute and critical care pediatric medicine. Breakout sessions will include respiratory support in pediatrics, pediatric code blue and pediatric research. The program is designed for pediatricians, primary care physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, social workers and all allied health professionals involved in the care of children. The program is limited to 120 participants.  

No prerequisites are required.

At the conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:  

  • Examine current strategies in the treatment of postpartum depression.
  • Identify current services available in child advocacy and pediatric practice.
  • Review the role of all aboard therapy in conjunction with pediatric practice.
  • Discuss innovative and evolving treatments in medication administration, ventilator management and pediatric nutrition.  
  • Differentiate distinguishing features between various types of aerosol technology.
  • Summarize the latest evidence associated with aerosol delivery in the emergency department.
  • Describe the clinical best practice of implementing VMN technology into the emergency department.
  • Explain the patient and health care system benefits of VMN technology during respiratory emergencies.
  • Describe the premise of psychological safety and its importance in the workplace.  
  • Review the child trafficking issue and its impact on the community.

Limited parking is available at the CAMC Center for Learning and Research. Participants may also park at the Aladdin Restaurant parking lot, the former CHERI building lot and the Vandalia Health CAMC Cancer Center parking lot. A shuttle will be available from the CAMC Cancer Center lot. There is no charge for parking.

Every effort is made to have a comfortable temperature in the meeting room. However, we realize everyone's comfort zone is different, so please bring a sweater or light jacket.
