The second annual Vandalia Health Robotic Surgery Summit will provide a comprehensive overview of current and emerging robotic platforms across our health system, including multiport robotic surgery, single port robotic surgery, robotic bronchoscopy and aquablation robotics.
Participants will gain insight into program updates across surgical subspecialties, explore innovations in training and nursing integration, and evaluate the role of simulation in advancing robotic proficiency. The summit will highlight local and regional advances while comparing our progress to national trends, allowing attendees to contextualize our health system’s trajectory within the broader landscape of robotic surgery.
Additionally, sessions will focus on how evolving technology and practice patterns impact patients, payers and hospital planning, ensuring participants are equipped to anticipate future needs. Through interactive discussions and expert panels, attendees will leave with practical strategies to integrate advanced robotic platforms into clinical practice while aligning with quality, safety and financial objectives.
Objectives
By the end of the summit, participants will be able to:
- Describe the current robotic platforms available within the Vandalia Health system, including multiport, single port, bronchoscopy and aquablation technologies.
- Analyze regional and national trends in robotic surgery and assess their impact on patient outcomes, payer relations and health system strategy.
- Evaluate innovative applications of robotic technology across surgical specialties and understand their implications for future program development.
- Identify opportunities to enhance training, education and interprofessional collaboration in robotic surgery, including simulation-based learning.
- Discuss strategies to align robotic surgery initiatives with quality, safety and financial sustainability goals.
