Comprehensive Clinical Training

The Family Medicine Residency Program is truly an enriching and rewarding experience that fosters and nurtures the development of competent and caring family physicians.  If you are interested in accepting the challenging offer put before you, apply to our program through ERAS. The Family Medicine Program is dually accredited through the ACGME.

Residents see patients at the CAMC Family Medicine Center, located adjacent to CAMC Memorial Hospital. The Family Medicine Center serves more than 14,000 patients per year.

First-year residents start with two half-days of office per week and advance to four half-days of office per week in PGY 2 and PGY 3. Residents also complete a continuity nursing home experience at Meadowbrook, a skilled nursing facility during PGY 2 and PGY 3.  Home visits are incorporated into the curriculum as well.

Continuing Education and Simulation Learning

Continuing education is provided through a series of lectures and resident driven didactic sessions.  The program also utilizes the Simulation Center to assess and teach clinical skills. Throughout the three-year curriculum, there are multiple teaching events held at the Simulation Center, utilizing patient simulators, paid simulated patients and modern equipment to enhance the skills of our residents.

Salary and Benefits
