Dr. Nazha graduated from the University of Damascus School of Medicine in 2004. He pursued his master's degree in human anatomy and cell biology, with a focus on neuroanatomy.  

He completed the combined residency in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry at the Charleston Division of the WVU School of Medicine and Charleston Area Medical Center in 2012 and joined the faculty of the Internal Medicine and the Psychiatry department in the same year as an assistant professor of internal medicine and psychiatry.

He is interested in psychosomatic medicine, anatomy of neuropsychiatry and psychopharmacology and rounds with residents and medical students on consult liaison service and on inpatient general internal medicine.

Dr. Nazha enjoys cooking, socializing with friends and listening to classical music.

Emily Hodges

Residency Program Specialist

Emily Hodges serves as the residency program coordinator for the Internal Medicine/Psychiatry Residency. She was born in Boca Raton, FL, and shortly moved to West Virginia, which she has proudly called home ever since.

Emily is a graduate of Marshall University (Go Herd!), where she built a strong foundation in organization, communication and administrative support. In her role, she is dedicated to supporting residents and faculty by ensuring smooth program operations, clear communication and a positive training experience within the program.

Emily is passionate about graduate medical education and takes pride in being a reliable resource for residents as they progress through their training.
