Teaching Opportunities | |
![]() | CAMC has a nearly 50-year history of serving as a regional campus for West Virginia University Medical School. Approximately one-third of WVU medical students spend their clinical years here in Charleston, and there are many teaching opportunities for our residents. We also provide our residents with a Resident as Teacher elective and professional development opportunities to develop your skills as an educator. |

Residents have 3 weeks of vacation each year. All residents have six months of an individualized curriculum (IC above) with electives that can be chosen from: Anesthesia, Child Abuse/Neglect, Gastroenterology, Hematology/Oncology, Infectious Disease, Neurology, Otolaryngology, Pulmonology, Radiology, Rheumatology, Sleep Medicine, Surgery, and other experiences.
